I'm down here in Lubbock. I have lived here all my life, and I work for Texas Tech. Bad thing is, there are not too many places to off-roading around here. Most times, my friends and I have to go over to New Mexico.

Well..Uh....the slot has changed to 23" and is changing to 24" on September 1st. We had a tournament this weekend (300 entrys) and the winner was an 8.88 bass..(only 4 over the slot 6.83,7.12,8.17,8.88) really sad they all looked like a starving snakes! Also we had 4inches of rain that week, rained during the last day of the tournament..so basically we had more 1-1.5 lb fish on the live release boat then I have ever seen!!!!

Hey!! Red Raider. I live here also. Been here about 4 years and work at the cancer center. I've got a 89'jimmy with 4'' lift, white and blue with huge super swamper radials. You need to go north of amarillo to the river and play had a blast.

TAKE HER TOP OFF, AND ROLL HER IN THE MUD!!!!

Radman. Where you from? I am north of amarillo and the river looks scarry! I guy with a pickup got stuck in the first 10 seconds got sand in everything so he sold it. Kinda nervous to go in that river. Also took $600 to get him out.

The river's tricky. You need to look for other peoples tracks to know where to and where not to drive. Lots of quick sand and it will suck a rig down fast. The local club up there says they can pull anybody out though for $1000 or something like that. West Texas Outlaws. But if you take it careful, it's a blast. Lots of loose sand, mud, and of course the quicksand in the river. Last time I went in my old '83 toyota, I had a great time! It also helps to bring out someone that knows the area. What really got me is that nobody hardly runs in the daytime, everybody starts showing up at night and they run the trails till 4 or 5 in the morning. Gotta Love Texas!

After I get my cam fixed maybe we can get together at the river or something. I have really tiny tires though like 25 or something. Got them for a gift so I can't really complain. Looks kinda like a low rider. need some spoke rims! j/k.

Another Lubbock TX person here. Looks like quite a few from the Hub City here (think Steve will want to change the site name to Lubbock K5 ?).

And for those of you not familuar with Lubbock if you were to go to you local pub and lay your head down on the bar and look down it ..... There you have our terain. And the fact that the bar has no trees on it and it is brown makes it all the more realistic and life-like. But we do indeed have some of the nicest folks around.

I'm wondering if I know any of the Lubbock boys anyhow....I'm Bryan Dunn, used to be a student there. Always affiliated with Cap'n Insano Tuff truck racing, Complete Auto Repair, and Custom Sound.....maybe this is a small world, ya think?
