anyone have a 2200 stall?

    Just wondering if anyone has a 2200 RPM stall converter, and what it shift 1st to 2nd at? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

    The torque converter doesn't affect the shift points of a tranny. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif It only affects the engine RPM at which the converter fully engages.

    so the higher a convertor stalls at wont cause the trans to shift higher in the RPMS??? /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

    Nope. It doesn't change anything internal to the tranny. The governor and/or TV cable affect the shift points.

    I used to run a 2400 stall. Just cruising, it does not make much of a difference. Getting on it is nice as it pulls out of the hole harder. It will not change the shift points as they are above 2200 RPM anyway for WTO.
