We are looking at one to replace the Expedition. Any known problems?
my mom and grandma both drive trailblazers... other than being gutless as all hell theyre just fine.
not too good on gas My wife drove one while our HHR was being repaired(dont ask ,along the same lines as your wifes mishap) not too bad of a ride though. The 5 cyl suprised me.
my roomates mom drives one the only probles they have with it are the huge blind spots
When I sold auto parts, biggest problem I ever saw was the short circuit problem in the tail lights but there was a recall so that should be fixed by now.
They have an inline 6 and a V8. The 5 cyl is only in the Colorado.
The very early 4.2 I6's (2000 model years) would drop the cylinder liner from cylinder #5. Gm changed the way they machined or used better parts and fixed the problem real early.
My wife has an 06 trailblazer ext and I love it. Does better on fuel mileage than my pa-in-laws 99 expedition. Plus it rides better. and has more room.
I never looked under the hood I just figured it had the 5 cyl like the trucks..my bad!
Feels heavy and underpowered.
Imagine trying to drive a K5 with a tired 305 in it....
got an 06 2WD for my wife and she loves it. i think it has a good amount of power and rides nice. No problems so far
My wife takes care of 3 or 4 of them regularly at her wash & detail shop.. from what she tells me, the ( female) owners are happy with them day to day.. big enough to haul the kids & stuff around, but overall easy to drive and park.
They haven't required any major service, and at least 2 of the ones she deals with are a few years old and have some miles on them..
my mother in law has a 2003. I think it drives nice, and it has plenty of room. I'm 6'8 and i fit in it pretty good
Thanks guys. It is for my wife, so being a little underpowered is not necessarily an issue. Looks and sounds like a good kid hauler/grocery getter.
one tail light seems to always go out??? another guy at worked noticed the same prob.other than that i have not heard anything.
Sounds like my Suburban. Usually, its the light that hits the tree.
yea i always see a silverado with one fog light on
ive got an 05 tb ext 4x2 4.2 thats a fun mofo to drive... lotsa room
didya get one?
