I just bought a used HP N5270 and They lost one of the HP recovery disks and they erased the HDD. SO I need the other Hp recovery disk(Disk 2) to reload it back to factory specs.

    It has WinME..

If I cant find this , I may just reload it with WIN98se or something......

Anyone have disk 2 I can borrow?

I whould just load win98 or something on there. OEM's put a lot of junk on their systems, And all that stuff gets reloaded thanks to their recovery disks, If people do ever reformat. That just slow it down, And don't do anything for you anyhow/forums/images/icons/frown.gif. And besides that, Win ME is junk as far as I'm conserned, I've found it to be unstable and slow, And not worth the time really.

Mike, Win ME is unstable and not upgrade-able to 2000 or XP AFAIK. I think you'd be better off putting in 98 for now, then upgrading to 2000 Pro or get 2000 pro cheap somewhere and clean install it. Then you'll need whatever drivers.
