Haven't heard from him since OCG. Last time he was online was Apr 25. Hope we didn't scare him away.
I had a little "talk" with him about there not being enough room for two Nick's on this board...
I guess it's time for a lil trip to Boulder to take care of some biness
but that's why I was going to start calling you Nicholass.
Oops, did I misspell that?
He tore up his truck pretty bad. It's possible he called it quits. Either that or he's building it up but I'd expect him to be on here more. He used to be on daily so I imagine he gave it up.
Either that or maybe he lost his Internet access. I've sent him a couple of PMs over the last month, but haven't heard back. I think even if he gave it up, he would have replied back in some manner. Even if it was:
Anyone have any contact info on him? I think he sent in some when we wanted to update that contact list, about the same time I did. I never received the updated list or anything. I could probably swing by since he is somewhat near me if I knew where to go.
He's not on my contact list. PM me your e-mail and info and I'll add you to it and send you a copy.
The last 2 I have on the list are 70jimmy and TDAWG1.
I thought after this thread that he might have been on there. I guess it didnt get updated. I pm'd you my contact info also.
Just found this on CL http://cosprings.craigslist.org/car/163593447.html
You guys must have scared him off or something. There wasnt a "Mr. Britches" incident he was forced to witness on the OCG trip was there?
Wow, good sleuthing. Cwn Holmes I presume.
I sent Nick a message with a link to this thread, hope he replies and lets us all know he's doing ok.
Aww, you guys miss me! lol
Actually several things have happened lately.
1) Dogs got to my laptop... yeah... it's still in the repair stages.
2) My girl friends computer barely works and I've been trying to fix it over the last few weeks.
3)work full time
4)school 3/4 time
5)hurting for money because of #4
Basically it comes down to me not having enough time or money to fix the computer. Running myself ragged right now with work and school.
And there have been a few changes in my vehicle line-up. BMW project went to the crusher for scrap metal when I REALLY needed a couple hundred bucks to make it by. Got an '88 S-10 blazer as my run around town vehicle. and I was actually just thinking of jumping on here for adivce on how to get the door panel off when I got an email from James about an old ad for the orange truck.
Also I'm buying a P.O.S. '77 Monte Carlo which is going to become a Street Stock at I-25 Speedway.
The truck build has taken a *slight* direction change since it will also have to haul the race car on a regular basis. All this mean is that I need to pop in the 1-ton 4" lift springs I have and sacrifice some rear flex.
And that's the basic run down. The truck still hasn't been fixed since OCG. It's just waiting patiently.
But I should get some cash from school here tomorrow and that should set me back on track.
Still not gonna have any time, though.
I feel so flattered that there's a topic about me though!
I think MrK5 was getting emotionally attached to you and was starting to get worried you hadn't been around. Glad to hear everythings good. If you need a hand with repairing the truck let me know.
Actually I just stumbled on that when I was bored at work looking at craigslist for parts to my Raider.
Nick B. would you sell me that air compressor? Sorry to see you leave wheelin', as the "burro' says you got king size b...s to do what you did on OCG. Hope your next hobby is as much fun as beatin' your truck to an early grave.
Oh, that ad is from when I was having cash problems. Since I'm back on top of the monetary situation the truck is no longer for sale, SO STOP TRYING TO CANABALIZE MY TRUCK, YOU VULTURES!
Plus, I'll be needing it to haul the race car and go wheeling in.
However, if OBA is your aim, I could probably assemble you a ready to install kit for $150-200, or possibly less. I think I did mine for $100-ish, but I also had a lot laying around.
Or I can just find you a compressor for $25-ish if you have devised your own bracket and such.
Hey Nick, don't be a stranger. Your part of the Colorado Crew now. I expect you to buy another POS for trail runs.
Let's hope he doesn't buy a DQ there "Mr. Cricket".
I sell it cheap round eye............one dolla.
