I have Dreamweaver 4 but do not use it's internal uploading stuff. I just design the pages in there and save them as .htm's then upload them to my server using Bulletproof FTP. I could never get Dreamweaver to connect to my server.

I use dreamweaver to do everything but upload. I do the whole site layout right in Dreamweaver one page at a time and save each page as an .htm file. Then I upload the .htm file and all the images to my server and it's done.

Are you saving it or trying to export it? If your trying to export it, don't do that, just go to file then save as and save it as what you want to call it on your browser and make sure it's saved as an .htm and thats it. I don't have MX so it may be different but this is how 4.0 works /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Well lets see if this works:

This is what my Dreamweaver looks like, does yours look the same?:

If it does, then when you click File, do you see this?:

If so, then click on Save As and you should see this:

See where it says "Save as Type"? Make sure .htm and/or .html is selected. Then where it says "File Name" type whatever you want to name the file. Like say it's a engine page of a truck site and you name it "engine". After it is saved and uploaded to your server, you will access it by typing "http://www.yoursitename.com/engine.htm.
