    <font color="blue">I have a set of electric fans on my truck that I got from another member, I think they're off a Thunderbird I'm just not sure what year. Can someone check these part numbers to see what cars these fans are from? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Thanks in advance

    Those arent off a Tbird,in 87 and 88 the fans were engine driven.I dont know exactly what there off of but my guess would be that they are from a Taurus/Sable/Continental of those years.

    How big are they?

    The Tbird fan I have only has 1 fan. FWIW.

    In the part #s I see 2.3, I am wondering if they are from an Escort maybe? I dont work at a Ford shop anymore or I could find out exactly. Sorry.

    My 91 Tbird still had an engine driven fan.I dont think they put an electric fan in a rear wheel drive car until the 4.6 came out in 93 in the Mk8.

    Not that it helps any but the way ford decodes the year is as follows, the beginning letter is always the decade of the year, for example
    C = 60's, D = 70's, E = 80's, F = 90's and so on. The second character is the actual year, for example,
    C1 = 1961
    C2 = 1962
    C3 = 1963
    D1 = 1971
    E1 = 1981
    F1 = 1991 and so on.
    Now I have heard people talk of using a T-Bird Turbo coupe electric fan because it pulls alot of CFM's of air. Maybe this will help some.

    I dont know about the Turbo bird fans, the one I run is a 4.6 fan from a later model car.

    I run it on low speed and it pulls plenty of air. On high speed you need to keep small kids and pets away from the front of the Blazer for fear of them being sucked in. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

    If you care to see a 4.6 bird fan I have some pics of how I mounted it in my Webshots.

    was yours a 5.0? My friend has an 89 with 3.8 supercharged. It has the electric fan set up. I thought the 3.8 all had electric fans
