    Yep. :)
Licensed amateur radio operator here, KE5BVC. My father was a P.E. and has been working in Broadcast Engineering since about 1979.

Ah, sweet! So you know all aboot RF? I'm going through a 1952 army tecnical manual right now...and an NAB handbook (biggest "Handbook" I ever saw, 4000 pages)...and component books...and tech manuals...and two seasoned/retired RF guys teaching me daily on the job.

Is your dad still doing it? Is he in radio/satellite/tv? I'd ask a ham question, but I don't want to start confusing myself until I have FM/AM down pat... :doah:

Psst, want an old 1000w am transmitter? It has PCB's and has become an EPA hassle to get rid of now, so we're trying to see if any hams want it.

    The tubes still good? :D:D:D:D

My dad does consulting work http://www.cmdconsulting.com/ now. He works with radio and TV, and laid the groundwork for the new HDTV stations.

I have been working on Radars for years.
    CWI
    Pulse Doppler
    FM-CW
    Mono-Pulse Doppler

Lots of different types, but all are used for tracking targets so I can shoot at them with Guns/Missiles.....not for comms like most RF
