Y'know that I am interested in running the trail on Saturday. Of course, I will need to get my driveshaft damages fixed from this last weekend.

What's Holy Cross like these days? I ran it back in '86 in a stock '84 CJ7. Got hung on the waterfall, but made the rest of the trip all the way up to the bog. Back then the bog was impassible. I heard that since then they've built a road across the bog and blocked off other access to it to keep it from getting any further damage.

Not sure on condition, I know White Womper did some trail repair on it last year, so he might know.
We may go on Sunday as well, not sure yet, Stephen Watson thinks he can make it if we go on Sunday.

You know Hackett Gulch was the simplest most destructive trail we have done in a while. Dan bent his crossmember, I lost the clutch fan and a front U-joint, Ken hydro-locked and did ? to his driveshaft. I am up for holy cross though but need to know for sure otherwise I will procrastinate on the repairs.

It made it home, but killed the bottom end. If under 1500 rpm's it would just bog down and by 3000 it sounded like I was an airplane ready to take off. Amazing what 3 tek screws will do.
Hey BigD if we do Holy Cross this weekend maybe we should go to Blanca Peak on the weekend of the 4th. That would keep things interesting.
Anybody know a good Quadrajet tuner in the Denver area?

There is a campground about 1/2 mile before the start of the trail. It is a nice big open area that everybody could gather around.

If you want, I'm sure that I could find someone willing to take up the UAV so at least it would get to run the trail.

Anybody have an empty passenger seat available for this run? I might just have to drag my lazy butt out of the bed Sunday morning. [IMG]
