brother had one, not a bad little truck
but do not, and i repeat, do not get the small 3.0L engine...
he had the 4x4 sport package with the 3.0....he rented a uhaul box trailer, could barely pull it up the mountains...unloadad! i'm talkin he was doin 30 in a 55 and couldnt get any more go out of it...this was with like 16k miles on it..
but other than that he didnt have many problems with it...other than the firestone fiasco

yeah, they are great trucks. ive had one and my dads had 2.
for sure hold out and get a 4.0 v6. the 3.0's are dogs. the new 4cyl. has almost as much grunt.

I worked in the automotive field for pleanty of years. I have to say, at the shop we ran in Omaha, Ne. that we seen more FORD MOTOR CO. products in for mecanical failure then any other make. Just keep that in mind. I'm not posting this to bash on Furd, it's the truth for what I seen with my own eyes. /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

Definitely avoid the 3.o. My sister-in-law has one with it and it is a dog, not much faster than my weezed out 2.8. For specific model year questions, you might check here:
