I run them, and they are o.k. but there nothing to aggressive. I like them because of the side lugs and the lack of tire wear, ive had myn on since the beggining of summer and i can barely tell any tire wear( its a DD Too!!) Some people will cut them down WAY MORE THEN THEY DESERVE if i had to choose agian i might go with tsl radials, but overall i LIKE them /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

with the plague you dont have to pay, it might suck but at least it is free. you actually have to pay for thornbirds.

thornbirds to me are horrible. my bfg AT's outperform them everywhere except for looks. and the ability to hydroplane, the thornbirds do that much better.

Don't do it. They look really cool but there is no traction there. I had some on my samuri and they were no good in snow, just like bald tires, and only marginal in mud. Also they are really stiff so the performance in the rocks not so good either.

OH yeah, really noisey on the street too.

It all depends what you are going to do w/ your truck. I have owned a few sets of Birds... they really seem to like the snow, and they are good in the ruts because of the big side lugs, and they seem to wear like iron on the street and last forever for a tire like that. However, they are not a mud tire, don't stick to rock well if you crawl, ride like $hit, and are pretty loud on the street... but the look is fantastic.
... it all depends on what you are going to do w/ your truck... I wouldn't own another set after they made the SSR's or the TSL Radials...

and... the dirtybirds. Go with a set of boggers, they rock in all types of terrain and ride better on the street.

I usually try to say this, but try the "search" button. It will give you enough posts about turdbirds to keep you busy all night.......... /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

What about Shi*birds? That's what I call them. They'd make horrible toilet paper, and they make better toilet paper than they do tires.

I don't think anyone here would be willing to admit it, even if they did run thornbirds.

Looks like they've admitted to owning them at one time, but admit to have learned their lesson about how crappy they are.
