I've got 38 with 4.11 not bad but in the mud could have more power.

I like it, due to being a daily driver as well as a trail rig. I like being able to get up to 75 MPH without going over 3 grand on the motor (it get's bad enough gas mileage as it is/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif). It is sluggish on the street in 2 hi, but it ain't a hotrod, so it doesn't bother me. I also have a doubler for low gearing in the rocks.

I had 37's on my 77 with 4bbl 400, th-350, np203 and 3.73's. Ran great on the road, a little slugish around town but great at speed. A little to be desired offroad, but climbed well and spun them in the mud.

i have never run that combo... but it seems a little high. I have 4.56s with 35s right now and its just about right. I have OD... but with resect to low-speed driving and offroad use, the 4.56s work great for me.

I'm running 4:10's and 38's and it sucks /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif the only thing that saves me is the low gearing of the sm465 /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have 37s,4.10s,and a th350.I went with 4.10s cuz it was my daily driver and needed to go down the freeway sometimes with reasonable RPMs.

Now that its not my DD I think I would rather have 4.56s or 4.88s /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
