I and a few others really wanna see a eliptic setup, and pics /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
So far, I have only seen them on Toyotas, J**ps, Suzuki's and other smalll rigs /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. I too would really like to see a setup on a fullsize /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Does anyone else remember THIS little fire-starter???!!! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
The pics links are all dead, but it was that young guy with a pic of a K5 on a lift with the whole back suspension dropping out of it on an elliptical setup.
A lot of folks here bashed him hard for it, and he hasn't posted since...... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Well that sure took forever to read. Looks like some people like to put down fast before they think.
i remember that post. i never replied but i remember thinking to myself... when i first saw it i was damn that is some creative Sh!t. and then i saw the people bashing him, and i know half of the people posting about how crappy it was, Couldnt do half as good as he did, Too bad he isnt still around i wouldve liked to see how it turned out,
I spoke with Josh a while after he got that truck on the road. I think I saw it in the background of a trail run as well, all flexed up. He said everything came together well and he was ironing out a few kinks not related to the suspension. Its been a few months since I've heard from him though. Nice work!
When I saw ugly post this that was the thread I thought of too....Here was my response to all the meanies
In reply to:

Damn you guy's are cold, Coon/ Barn job, man thats harsh!!!
[/ QUOTE ] , those guy's bashed him pretty hard.... /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
I have been using this one for inspiration.
Ha ha I remember that. His GF got all pissed at Michelle for making a comment about them being cute. Then she PM'ed me with a nasty reply when I PM'ed the guy about the set up and some questions. I personally thought it was really cool and was a neat idea and would have loved to have seen some pics of it in action...
Here is another one.
Yeah, its too bad. I would have liked to check it out. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Damn..thats a pretty clean little truck
I am hoping mine turns out simular to that, only a Crew Cab.
It was a little podunk , but it was a work in progress, thats why I couldn't understand why he got flogged so bad.... /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
I have always wanted to do a QERS, but every time I start to do one, I always end up using coils instead. I cant see the advantage of leafs, unless you want to hang your rear axle way out from the back of the rig. Any reasons you guys want to use QERS over coils?
Something about having the axle just hanging out there with seemingly nothing holding it in place is COOL! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
That and its cool
wow, what a Fawked up thread and after reading that I think that anyone who was that harsh should feel bad, and should tell him so, how messed up. no wonder he quit posting here, goes to show where peoples heads are, up thier ars. I may do a 1/4 set-up and bob the rear, i just wanna see some good pics!
That truck belongs to Josh. I don't think he comes around here much. For everybody that bashed his truck here is my take on it. Yes it was a little crude looking but he DROVE it from NY to the UCP run at Paragon. It flexes better then 99.9% of the trucks here. I have a ton of pics of it. If somebody knows a place that is free that hosts photos and lets you upload them to other websites unlike webshots I'll see about posting some of them with the truck flexing. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
