    Howdy all...
Anyone swapped in a diff rear bench seat, preferably one that flips front and/or removes? I'm referring to a '77 here. I'd like to remove the lovely plaid, SOLID rear bench, and swap in a seat similar to those ones you find in these new-fangled station wagon-wannabea-4x4 sport utes. You know...the kind that either tumble forward to open up the back more or remove out easily with the flip of a lever.
Any suggestions for junkyard swap outs or aftermarket options? Any tips, suggestions, words of wisdom?

    Thanks!
    Joe

The rear seat on my '85 folds and tumbles forward. It won't come out without a wrench, though. I usually leave the top off all summer, so it get's wet constantly - doesn't matter much to me, though - I don't sit back there...

    '85 Blazer... 9" lift... 35-12.50 BFG AT's...LOTS of rust

The third row seat in Suburbans do that.I dont think it would be that hard to transplant one into a Blazer. They can be folded down or removed.

I swapped in a fold-n-tumble rear seat out of an 86 K5 into my 74 K5. That solid rear bench just plain sucks.
you will have to make some kind of mounts for the front mount and a latch for the rear mount.
The K5's that these fold-n-tumble seats go in stock have grooves in the floorboard for the latch so unless you want to cut your floorboard you will have to just put the latch flush with the floorboard and raise the front mount.

Crawlin the rocks with my K5

I went to a jumk yard and found an AeroStar rear bench seat that folds really flat, I made brackets (copied from my Jeep's rear seat) so it's now a "Fold and Tumble" rear seat.
