I keep checking the website, but nothing new. The sneak peek section is not up. Has anyone asked them lately if they plan to make a top or not? I'm just itchin' to chunk the H/T. From the past posts I've seen it seems canback scrapped plans to do it. Is it that damned hard?

I was spear-heading the Can-Bac deal. After about 3/4 year of "ya...it's almost ready" I went to speak to them at thier place of business.
They had NOTHING in developement /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
Just not "worth it" they said. The proplem is designing the area that goes over the door windows and doing it in a cost effective way but also in a quality way that CanBac is known for.
They have a REALLY nice product. And even though they screwed me around I woudn't hesitate to getting one of thier soft tops if they develope one for our 1st gens.

dont feel bad, i asked them if they'd do a slightly modified one for me to the tune of snaps on the winshield edge, shortened 13", and not overlapping the doors and they wouldn't do it either...Dang wussies... /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

    Looks interesting.

Somehow, I have a bad, bad feeling that it is custom or freeze my a$$ off in the morning to enjoy the afternoon. Damnit, damnit, damnit.
