Anyone with 4\" susp and 9012s?

Cut my old stuff off and positioned my F250 shock towers. All I can get is 5-1/2" of shock showing before the towers bottom out on the firewall. I really wanted them to go dead center, like around 6-1/2". If I had a 1" body lift, it would be perfect but I dont and I'm not. Anyone here with 4" and 9012s, what did you do to make them work?

Boss had the same problem with his hitting the lip on the firewall so he notched the lip to give some clearance.

I am doing 1" adda leafs AND 1" body on top of the 4" to help make clearance for the 35s. That should take care of it for me.

Have you fitted the 9005s? I think they are 10" shocks and would probably work nice in your setup.

Actually I'm using the Procomp version of the 5012s, 14" travel. I think I can make these work, I'll hack into the firewall tommorrow and see how that works. Dang I love this board. Always amazes me the quality of info for even the smallest of problems. Thanks guys!!!

Let me know how you like the 5012 Pro Comps. I am thinking of getting their 9012's for mine.
