These were taken on 12/23. Family trip out to the desert.
Going down 'Diablo Dropoff' in the morning:

    Trail near Pinyon Canyon.

Here she is coming back up 'Diablo Dropoff'. Almost made it up on the first try, but there was some miscommunication and I backed off the throttle and lost momentum. Backed her up a couple feet, stepped on it and made it no problem.

So far the k5 has only had problems with really soft and deep sand on uphills. Thing likes to sink rather than move foward. Later....

Hey looks fun. I did that same trail on new years day with Matt (baby blue) and than went and did Rockhouse canyon. Fun place but I won't be back till I have my 14bolt in as the 12 bolt bit the dust. I rotated one of the axle tubes trying to get up the last waterfall on rockhouse.

The dropoff is about a half mile off of fish creek. I can scan the map if you want.

    Ahhh.... Home Sweet Home!

I haven't been out to some of these spots in the K5 yet, It'll be interesting to see how it compares to my old 4x4 Toys. Thanks for rejuvenating some interest with the great picks, especially the drop-off. Have any of you taken your fullsize down One-Way trail and made it through 'the -slot' ? I broke a mirror in a Jeep Comanche last time I went through but that was ages ago.

Map says the squeeze is 6' wide, I measured the k5 at about 6'6". You try it first.[IMG]

Oh no, after you... I insist!

I figure it will probably open up another 6 in sooner or later with all the damage it takes from other vehicles, I'll have to run out there and check it out. All the maps of this area are always a good 2 to 10 years behind.
