Are D44 and 10B Front Spider Gears Interchangable?

    Could i run 10B front axle shafts in my 44 housing if i swapped out the spiders?

    good question, i know 10b and d44 rear spiders arent interchangeable..

    from other posts on here, i believe that the only thing interchangeable are the outter stub shafts, and anything else that's removable from the ends of the axle.

    As far as axleshafts go.....the stubs are interchangeable on 10 bolts and '73-up D44's. The inners shafts are different lengths.....so they won't work. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    The spiders are the same between ford TTB D44s and a chevy D44... I know it isn't what your asking, but I thought that I'd share that little bit of info.
