I've been told that Chevy Dana 60Fs have 35 spline inners, but have 30 spline stubs.

Yes, stock D60 front axles have 35 spline inners and 30 spline outer stub shafts.

Rear D60's will vary from each of the 'Big 3', with spline counts of 16, 30 and 35. The 16 splines were mainly used in Fords. Vehicles with D60's will require the shafts pulled and splines counted to get an exact count. There were too many variations from Ford, Chevy and Dodge.
