I know that beadlocks aren't DOT approved, but what about Hummer wheels, they were installed on Hummers from the factory...So, whats the deal, are they street legal? I'm all /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

you are talking about the rims right?the tires are approved but im not sure about the rims.they are on the civilian hummers so i think you can use them.but if you wasnt to use them on a blazer or even a pickup the backspacing would be way too much.i think they have a 6 inch backspacing so when you turn you would hit your inner fenders.to make them work you have to replace the inner part of the wheel to make the backspacing less or you can buy them already made like that.im not sure who makes them but i think they are 100 dollars a rim and they have different styles also.

He's not talking about the tires /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gifHe's is asking about the wheels. Probably the ones that come on the military Humvee's. I've heard that they are street legal, but I don't know that for a fact. Now that I think about it they used to come on the cilvian models, in the early years when they first starting producing them for the masses.

Daniel @ USA6x6 sells them and modifies the centers for whatever backspacing you desire. They have a stock backspacing of 7".

Thanks Eric for clearing that up /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif I'm pretty sure that the civilian Hummer wheels are beadlock, Just wondering if there is any difference between Civilian and Military wheels or rims. How much does the wheels run for at USA6x6? With the modifing the centers for the backspacing? Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Here is Daniel's site Hummer wheels & tires if you have any questions for him your best bet is to email him with the address on his site. He usually gets back to you pretty quick that way. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
