are np241s fixed or slip yoked??

    was thinking of putting a np241 into my 71 grocery getter. are these slip or fixed and can they be "fixed"??
    also what years came with the electronic spedo and which came with the "cable"? can those be interchanged??

    Most (all GM) are slip yoke, and most are driver side drop. Passeneger side drop was used in '88 - '91 Blazer, Jimmy and Suburbans. I think the first couple years of those had cable operated speedos, but not sure on that.

    All NP241's are slip yoke. They can be made a fixed yoke. The only NP241 that was cable driven speedo was 1989, the rest are electric speedo. The NP241's were driver drop in everything except 1989 through 1991 blazers and subs which were passenger drop.
