Are the Frames the Same???

    I want to buy a 91 4x4 Blazer, and then take the 2wd front end out of a pickup and botl them in, so basically I want to make a 2wd 1991 Blazer, Are the frames the same, has anyone doen this?

    because i have a 73 that i take to the Rubicon, and i want a 2wd daily driver on air bags, i want the best of both worlds

    The frame rails are the same shape, so it would be easy to pull the front axle & springs and mount the 2wd suspension.

    may have to drill some holes that may be missing for all the bolts and nuts to attach suspension engine cradle to frame rails, then deal with small stuff like brake hoses maybe lines too since they run across cradle

    It can be done. The rear spring mounts are also taller on a 4x4. Need to find 2wd spring mounts or go to a link suspension.

    If I ever build a 2wd I'll look seriously into a link set up. I want to make one that handles. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
