Your sitting in your engine compartment wrenching(new alternator) and you
-drop a bolt-climb down pick it up
-drop the flash light(getting dark) climb down pick it up
-drop the wrench - climb down pick it up
-drop the flash light again- climb down pick it up
    - drop a washer- climb down pick it up
-drop the ratchet-climb down pick it up
-drop the flash light again(it breaks)- climb down get another

Why are my legs always sore after working in the engine compartment? From climbing so many #$*%#@ times /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

    Hmmm, two solutions:

    1) Tie tethers to all tools and parts!

    2) have a kid (yours or someone elses, they can be paid in peanuts, preferably chocolate covered) sit on the ground and retrieve droped items for you. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

We use the Top Side Creepers at work. The only way to go if you're going to be hanging over an engine. The things really work.
