I was going to buy one from Big Lots or McFrugals last year, until I listened to it! PASS. I needed some good sound, as well as a cigarette plug option (battery eaters!). I settled on a JVC "Kaboom" series. It is AWESOME! Digital tuners, awesome Bass, a carrying strap, a remote control, & an optional retractable 12V cigarette adapter. I think I paid around $140, but well worth it! Here's some info. I use it in my bay boat, as well as anywhere else. I was thinking of buying some big ass hose clamps & securing it to the roll bar until my stereo is ready. That will look pretty cool, NOT!

I'd get a sterio made for a boat. They're waterproofed, and you can get them with detachable face. That way you can leave it in your trail rig.
