Well it would be easier if we drove together, I know people did this last year so lets do it. I cant wait to go and the Blazer will finally be done. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

This would also be better than driving 1000+ miles there and back with only cars to look at. We could be rolling sceanery, think about it! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I will be going with either a crew cab towing my burb, or my burb towing a k5. Trying to decide between a crew cab or k5 right now for a driver /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

as long as I have enough money laying around, I plan on taking Burbanzilla up there. I don't yet know if I'll be going or not, but with luck, I'll know soon enough. might do the twisted thing, and haul burbanzilla behind the Dragonclaw, just to save on fuel mileage...

Will do Doug. You going to take you truck down there this year? Hell, your only 1.5 hrs out you can haul the Chalet behind the other K5 so you have a nice place to sleep, and if you break the your other K5 you can tow it home with the Chalet. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Shawn,

I will going this year again, and will be towing the Blazer. Marv and I usually leave on Wed in the afternoon and get to Moab on Thursday sometime. We are probably going to do the same thing we did last year which was Moab for a few days and the balance in Farmington for the balance. I think last year we were out for about 10 days. If everyting works out with the date maybe we will see you up there, but we are leaving on Wed. Will keep you posted on our forum when the dates get closer. We tried this last year, getting everyone together to caravan up, but the dates did not work our for anyone. It was FWP, Marv and myself that caravaned up together, but we met up with everyone in Moab and had a great time.

As long as i can find a pilot for the chalet i'll bring her...the tbi swap is allmost done...if i can rig up some kind of cooler in her by then i will be in fat city!

I'm also kicking around the thought of just bringing the chalet and catchin a ride with someone...still a long way off though. Plannin for that silverton Burb run in June right now...

If timing works out, I may join in, but I tend to travel alone or maybe with one other. I can never seem to get my family crap in line for a specific time. If I do, there is always someone else that is lagging 2 hours behind and we all have to wait. Last year I planed on leaving around noon, pulled out of town on I-17 at around 4:30 pm... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I hear ya Russ, that's why I ain't sayin nuthin, until about a week before the event /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif The thing to do, it worked for Rob, Marv and myself, was to set a meeting place and time, and leave. If someone isn't there within a reasonable amt of time, see-ya! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif. The key is communication and courtesy........

Re: arizona caravan to Moab, who\'s in??

well I decided I will beg the crap out of my parents to let me barrow thier 99 suburban, It is a 3/4 ton with 4x4 and leather...and Air Conditioning, so who has a spare trailer /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

Also, there wont be any drama, save my tires and will be better than 6-8 mpg with no ac. And maby just maby my g/f would join me, or muddysub, who cares it seats 8 /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif..but the blazer seats 5 so when we get there your walkin the trails /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

So this leaves 5 months to talk my parents into loaning me the suburban, any ideas for sucking up to them /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif
