Do you know of any other brand other than Art Carr that has a reverse manual valve body that takes advantage of compression braking?

TCI is *working* on it, but it isnt availible yet.

I think he was asking about their TH400 version judging by his sig. Supposedly B&M makes/made one. Can not find it on their site. Wish the Art Carr unit was a little cheaper.

I believe Turbo Action sells a RMVB with engine braking. I looked at their web site but it doesn't have a lot of product info.

California Performance Transmission is the 2nd company Art Carr started, you could try them. Maybe their name .com for the addy?

I think Mogi builds the th400's for the protruck series and may sell the VB.

How do you get compression braking without a lockup converter? Don't know exactly how it works inside but the user interface is easy, let off the gas! Works just fine.

We have a TCI TH350 VB that's been working well so far, but haven't played with any TH400 stuff.

Just to reply to this thread in general, I've been hunting for a 400/205 combo and have thought about a RMVB. I initially shied away because of the compression braking issue...seems like you need at least some for trail riding. Who runs these and who runs factory style with shift kits? Any advice for when I do find the proper tranny/tcase with factory torque braces?
