Does your hydroboost system leak? And is so how did you fix it? Mine leaked bad. Mostly from hose that came out of the reservoir by radiator. I planning on putting a whole new system in, but with a 2wd box for the crossover steering. I talked to a guy that said the fittings on the box are different from the 4wd one. This true? TIA

Mine leaks only when I overfill the reservoir with the fluid. The steering box is no different from a K30 compared to a K10 except for the piston size, from what I've heard.

I think the fittings are only different between older and newer.

You are correct. The fittings are the same across the board, except for the vintage. Up to '79-ish, the boxes and pumps used inverted flare fittings and after 79-80-ish they went to the o-ring fittings. The inverted flare fittings are standard thread and the o-ring fittings are metric.

My crew cab has a virgin system on it and (knock on wood) it has no leaks.
