I'm still cranking the first Audioslave record, I can't seem to get sick of it. This music friggin kicks arse! These guys are all excellent musicians. I can hear a lot of Rage Against the Machine in them, too. Chris Cornell is a major improvement for them, Zack what's his name was a terrible singer, always just sounded like an angry teenager with no real depth.

My wife digs it, too... We were actually blasting the cd in our minivan the other night when we were out without kids. She's so cool...

Rage had more meaning to the lyrics, though. The guitar player actually went to Harvard.

You think so?? I didn't get into them because of the singer, but I liked the music. The few lyrics I remember were not really good at all, and anything but meaningful. Mostly just angry ranting and bitching with an unclear political drive... I don't know if their guitar player wrote lyrics for Rage, but his style has changed quite a bit if he's still writing them for Audioslave...

Zach was a whiner, thats for sure

Wierd Ratch, I'm listening to thier second album right now, it's pretty damn awesome though

I enjoy "Like A Stone as one of my top three songs right now, along with "The Real Folk Blues" and... uhhh some other song... "Hybrid Rainbow", let's say

Yeah, "Like a Stone" is awesome. That, "I am the Highway", and "Shadow on the Sun" are contenders for my favorite song right now...

Is the second album comparable to the first? I heard one song, something like "Be yourself", and I didn't get into it.

I'd say it's very similar. If you mixed the tracks together from both albums, I doubt you could tell

I'd say, not having thouroughly listened to it

    Be Yourself
    Drown Me Slowly
    Heaven's Dead
    Yesterday To Tomorrow

If you have Gmail or somesuch I could uh, send you an EMAIL containing THINGS

    yup, that's damm good cover.

I've been a huge rage fan since 96' just breaks my heart I never got to see them live. As for Audioslave some of there stuff is ok, but for the most part I can't stand them. I'm hoping zakk and the rest of the members patch up there realationshp back toghter and do a reunion tour!

Good stuff. They'll be in concert here Mid-October. Gotta go.
