I have a 6.2 w/700r4 trans, I know I need to swap out the flywheel for a diesel one. What about the ring gear can I use the one from the auto trans?

All of the auto flexplate rings I've seen are welded on.You should be able to get new one from dealer.Every thing else should be easy swap with stock parts. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Need to add.Not hard to put on flywheel.I put flywheel in fridge{not freezer}till cold, then law it on flat surface and heat ring.It should slide down onto flywheel and seat itself as it cools.Has worked well for me several times.Hope this helps /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

The second link shows the flywheel, pressure plate and hydro bell. The flywheel has a ring gear on it...
