Last weekend I got there composite light kit for my '89. I put the low beams on with the white H-7 halogen bulbs, those things rock. I can finaly see where I'm going. If you hate your headlights this is definatly something to look at

It'll be fun to drive it again when I get the new motor in.

I found autooptics about a week ago and was going to order some lights. Glad to know they are an improvement. How much do you sell them for xplosuv? By the way, I am a NCBD member.

i too want to do a halogen conversion on my truck. I have the 4 headlight system. Can I convert to halogen low and high beams. how does it all work, and what does it all cost? Are there any wiring changes, or do they new halogens plung in with the old harness. My understanding is that you replace you sealed beam headlight with a lense that looks and fits just like the old headlight, but then you just stick the Halogen bulb in the back like any other...?

I posted a lengthy description of the autooptiks kit and how it works when I did my conversion about a month ago. Do a search under "headlight conversion" for the details.

I think thats where I got the idea. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif And you were right..pick up the lights local there only 9.95 each for 55 watts.

As far as the plug in all you do is cut off the old connectors and put some coverd female spades on. If you goto the 100 watt kit you might want to look at relays. I think I'm gona do that when I do the high beams. All said and done its $ 110 for all 4 lights, that includes shipping. The change took maybe 30 minutes.
