How/who is going to have room to help with the work weekend? As for taking stuff up RML? Saw the post on NC4X4 and kind of figured since all of us that are going are a bunch of swell fellows, that we are going to help them out.

It would be pretty stand up for us to throw in some elbow grease, but, with my wife and kids there and their allergic reactions to work, don't know what they will think if it turns out like last time.

I'm in, if they can maybe limit me to a couple or few hours instead of the entire day.

    Okay, I said it.

This was posted on nc4x4 by one of the workday fellows.

    I gotta ask you guys....
On Saturday morning, would ya'll be interested, as a group, to haul some supplies up RML for the workday?
Need some pickups to haul 12' guardrails and some posts up the trail.
Ya'll can be there at Hunt Camp ready to roll at 9:00 am or at the double parking lot aroung 10:00 am and we'll get you out ASAP.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. And thats where im meeting you guys (since I wont be there on fri.)...trail cleanup may interfere greatly with our run. And after last time...im thinking trail cleanup is going to take up the majority of daylight on saturday...and I want to wheel.

Just wanted to get everyone elses opinion on this. I dont want to commit to workday functions for this weekend either. Pick up trash as we stop, yes. Full blown workday, no.

I mentioned to them that we only have one full size p/u listed as coming and Tim's Taco..........I suppose they figured we had more p/u's coming..............maybe we can coordinate a work day with them and CK5 later.........I know I'd go if I'm off. :D

I had one of the trail guys in our club email me on this. He said he needs help getting the stuff up to Kodak and that he did not expect us to do the whole workday thing. Might be good if we helped do that little bit. Personally I will, cause of the volunteer hours our club puts in up there, it makes difference. Maybe a few of us could help with this and then meet up with the rest of the folks on the trail somewhere. Whatcha think?

I'm all for it. I posted my thoughts about it above.

I think it would give us some good credibility to offer a couple of hours of our planned ride to help out. It would give them credibility to honor our request of limited support in order for us to carry out our planned ride.

We had a good time for the first few hours last time.

That sounds good enough for me. I will call RQ tomorrow and let him know what the plan is. Photo shoot at 9AM sharp, swing by hunt camp to load up supplies and go drop them off then wheel the piss out of the rigs!:D

You should be able to make it to kodak easily in a stock k5. The by-pass line should be do-able for you too. I did see some H2's and H3's that had to winch up the bypass though.

I should have some room if I can get everything that I need to get done to the truck and get up there. Just in a little bit of a tight spot at the moment. My buddy that was going to haul my rig up with me can't go now, so I don't have a vehicle to haul up with. Please read my post ( Front shaft finished )
