You know why they make that Ford with rear window defrosters? To keep your hands warm when you have to push it! Ford = Bad Chevy = GOOD :-)

I'll believe that thing can go up a 90 incline when I can jump behind the wheel and do it myself. Til then I find it hard to believe.

I'm about sick of all thes names of the crappy Ford trucks. EXplorer, EXcursion, Expedition, Escape, and now the EX? Who the heck comes up with these names anyway? Whoever it is should be fired, along with everyone else there so they could make way for some people who know how to build REAL trucks!

It will only go up an incline of 52.5 degrees. It will go down a 90 degree incline without catching the bumper.

Ahh, I see the error of my misreading. I glanced at the approach and departure angles and it didn't sink if right away. That makes more sense. LOL

I really hate all these new fangled speed bumps that my K5 is going to have to run over. Why cant they learn. Anything spelled with Four letters is just going to end up Found-On-Road-Dead.

Hey Blaze at least the people over at Turd, I mean ford, are smart enough to name each vehicle by a different name. Unlike another company that has a Blazer, then comes out w/ a small pretender and call it a Blazer, then the original Blazer, after almost 30years, is renamed a Tahoe, then they come out with one in between the "blazer" and Tahoe and call it a Trailblazer. Then there is the whole Suburban thing, first GMC-Chevy(if it is the same truck why have two "different" manufactorers?) then Yukon-Yukon XL.
I am not found of the Turd names, but they have not screwed up like Chevy has. Do a search about people trying to buy Blazers out of the paper.

Haha, I never thought of that. I understand the searching for a Blazer thing. I was trying to get rid of my S-10 Blazer and buy a K5, but I kept coming up with all sorts of things! At least Chevy didn't call the Tracker a Miniblazer or somethinng like that(not that I like Trackers, but at least they have a different name!)

Why do people get so excited about this stuff? I think that everyone assumes that since one was built, they are practically rolling off the assembly line. Prototype vehicles and manufactured vehicles don't even operate out of the same business units. Prototypes like this are just for car show "wows" and magazine write-ups and that's it. When a vehicle actually does make the transition, it usually becomes lamer in every way. Let me list some key things that would change about this "vehicle" if it were manufactured:
-Engine goes from 375hp -->225hp
-Shocks go from resevoir type--> Monroe gas charged
-Open cockpit design--> some kind of crappy Jeep enclosure
-Turn signals added, license plate holders added, off-road lights removed, etc.
-wheels and tires get worse (this is like the #1 rule for manufacturing a proto vehicle) Probably 31x10.5x16 BFG A/T's or GoodYear Wrangler A/T's
-4 piston brakes--> Explorer brakes
-and so on, you get the idea...
Now for the kicker, it's gonna cost $30k+! Some would pay that price for a turn-key rockcrawler, but many would still prefer to build their own. Now how are you gonna service or modify your 4-wheel independant suspension? I give it the benefit of the doubt that this suspension would stay since they are already doing it next year on the Blackwood/Navigator.
