    Anyone know/remember what G80 means on the parts id in the glove box? I cant find the original post that had it in it. Also what are the different codes for the ratios.

    I would suggest getting the number off the axle and calling the dealer. I got mine off of some old forms that came with mine. It should be stamped on the axle tubes if I am not mistaken.

    Here's the list. These codes will be on the sticker in the glove box, but not anywhere on the axle itself. There are different codes stamped on the axle.

    GU2 = 2.73
    GU4 = 3.08
    GU6 = 3.42
    GT4 = 3.73
    GT5 or GT8 = 4.10
    G80 = Gov-lock

    there is a code on the axle. it is on the top right hand side, just near the U-bolt. Dunno what it sais or means. Maybe some amerikan dealer knows it though.

    BTW. Had a gov-lock too. Broke it 5 times while parking the K5. Then I had an open diff. Broke the whole axle last week on-road with 35" Thorns.
