Are both of these considered the samething? This is in regards to the (G80) RPO code. Is the "Positraction" name just GM's name for a limited slip or are they different in some way?

The term limited slip is really the generic name, with the term positraction being a term coined by GM years ago for their version of the limited slip. Over the years, Positraction or simply posi, has become to be used almost interchangeably with limited slip. Kind of like people calling any type of cola a Coke.
