    On my options list there is a code "GQ1" and in my shop manual it says "axle ratio - stud Rr. Does anyone know what this means?
    Thanks

    These are the only codes I am aware of. Late model K5s don't have the numbers explained, just a list. I have an '82 and says right on the glove compartment what it is along with the number.

    This is from a post Derf00 made a while back
    GU2 = 2.73
    GU4 = 3.08
    GU6 = 3.42
    GT4 = 3.73
    GT5 or GT8 = 4.10
    G80 = Gov-lock

    A quick look at the '91 GM truck manual shows that RPO GQ1 is "Rear Axle - Base Ratio". No explanation about what that actually means. [IMG]
