Currently running a 12bolt with "sick" 3.08 gears and worn spider gears on 15/35/15 tsl's. (second 12 bolt) Should I rebuild this one and run 4.56's or spend the money on a 14 bolt that I have recently came across for about $200.00. Wheels and tires aren't that old, but I do have a set of 36-14.5-16.5 tsl's that all I would need is some 8 lug wheels. Will a 15" wheel work on a 14 bolt with an 8 to 6 adapter for the rear? There are 2 14 bolts I believe and one is in a 76 Chevy 3+3 3/4 ton and the other is in a van. Help me spend my money wisely (lol). /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

IMHO, regearing 1/2 stuff is silly. when running a full size rig, very few people can't benifit from the added strength of the 14BFF. It sound's like you are already going through 12 bolts, so i'd get a 14B (usually have 4.10 gears) and upgrade the front to 8 lug. it will cost a bit to have the front regeared, but an 8 lug D44 or 10B with 4.10's come around.
