I know 3/4 ton 14b ff axles are easy to find, but what about 3/4 ton D44's for my full-time?

Shouldnt be a problem, should be able to find them in the same truck. The donor truck I bought had a D44, 14FF, th400/203. It was a 79 3/4 ton GMC.

I found one and paid $200 for the 44 and 14ff. There out there you just have to look.
