OK I searched and still have questions.
I have an 86 3/4 Ton with a 6" lift. I am swapping in a D60 and a 14B FF. I know I will need spring plates, U bolts and the 1310/1350 U joint in the rear. Do I need a special U-joint up front? Will the 60 mate up to my steering? Anything else I should be looking at?
    Thanks

If you have a 3/4 ton, then you shouldn't have to get a conversion joint, should already be 1350. I did the same thing to my old truck with the same axles, and everything bolted up. For some gay friggin reason, GM used 1310s on the front axles, so they will bolt up too.

If upgrading from 14SF to 14FF, the spring plates are the same, u-bolts are the same (but get new ones!) and u-joint stays the same (1350 as already mentioned).

I found the 14FF pinion to be about 1/4"-1/2" *shorter* than the 14SF. My driveshaft reached easily.

Thanks for all of the input. Where is a good place to buy the U bolts? Also any more input on the front D60 swap? Are those U-bolts the same? Will a drop pitman arm work to correct the steering for a 6" lift?

Not sure if they were all like that but mine has a 14SF and I think a 10B 8lug front.

For some reason some 3/4 tons have FF's and some have SF's...I'm not sure why, just depends on what package it had from the factory I guess...
