Axles at junk yard

    im looking for new axles, so i think i might go to the junk yard and look around , how much should i expect to pay for a 12 or 14 bolt

    well i seem to hear 150-200 range..there is a set of 3/4 tons with 4:10 in them near me for 200..if i had the money id getem!

    they go for about $150.00 around here. A local yard has a 10/14bff combo for $300.00 but they are geared 3.42 /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gifI think

    the junk yard around me charges 200 per axle no matter what size. i wouldnt go any higher than that though. i wouldnt go over 150 for a 12 bolt.

    All the u pull it cheap junk yards around here range from $98 to $150. They don't care what it is. 10, 12, or 14, front, or rear all cost the same. The crooks in the paper want $250 to $375.

    If you want just axles I think they are about $25 a piece.


    BTW - Good luck finding 3.73/4.10 in a junk yard. They get pulled real quick around here /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif .

    Well since nobody else said it yet...Please fill out yout profile /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif. Maybe somebody responding to your post has a set. I do have a set..Dana 44 14BFF 4.11's. Just a heads up makes things easier.

    ive got a rolling chassis blazer in the back yard (10 bolts) with 3.73s in them. i may takem out and cleanem up and do the bearings and brakes on them and stuff good enough to drive, that would allow me to run 33's anyway. right now i only got 3.08 /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif
