    What year did Ford stop using closed nuckles? I have heard everything from 72 to 78? Thanks.

    my buddy's 73 has a closed knuckle D44, but i don't know when they stopped using them.

    it would probably be better to go to a ford site and ask.you could probably get more answers there.
