Thanks for letting us tag along, Claudia and myself had a blast. We're thinking to do a 'bypass run' on Woodpecker one of these days just to get a feel what the whole trail looks like. Thanks to Marv for your excellent spotting. I chickened out on the firehole; I'll be back when I have rear quarter panel protection. Some Toyotas appear to be more disposable than others; spending 1+ hours in the Firehole for a total of 3 tries makes you go hmmm....Anyways, few pics here...

    Nice :waytogo:

BTW , it doesn't leak as bad as it looks under my truck . It seems to stay on the truck , and little if any hits the ground :wink1: When I pull the motor it will get resealed again :thumb:

looks like you guys had a good time. I am pissed that I missed it. I fixed my drive shaft and alternator to make this run. When I left the house I had some awful tire shake that turned out to be two of my staun internal bead locks had popped and were slinging around inside the tire.

    Had a great time

It was great to meet some of the phx. gang, ( and the Nebraska gang ).
Got some good pic's, I'll post 'em tonight.
Good time standing around the campfire shootin the breeze with paul, He's got a clean K 5 that gets the job done without any drama. A fine example of " the sheet metal gang ".
Mike's got a way cool step side, and it goes anywhere whether it fits or not, Makes a real nice " ding " when he snapped a piece of leaf off.
Mike and Claudia, super nice folks with a clean k5 and fj 40. All the right mods and smooth talented drivers.
Crazy ' yota guys with capable rigs and no concern at all for body damage, very entertaining.
And last but not least Marv, he had the shortest day, breaking a intermediate shaft on his buggy before we even hit the trail. Without marv and his top notch spotting skills I'd probably still be out there with my over cammed, carbed and open diffed k-5! Big Thank You. You wont see me again without a frame brace and a detroit!:D
And thanks to everyone who's names I forgot for keeping my rig in one piece and keeping there eyes on my fearless daughter, Justice.
Can't wait to do it again.:D
