    OK,

Here are some thoughts; Marv and I have been talking about doing a trip to Las Cruces, NM for some wheeling. Since we are going to miss the Chile Challenge in Cruces this month.

We are talking about doing a trip next month in March. The thought are, leave Mesa on Wednesday afternoon, and get to Cruces on Wednesday night, camp Wednesday night, wheel Thursdays, Friday, Saturday, and head home on Sunday.

We will probably meet with a few other New Mexico & El Paso guys to wheel with, like we have in the past, Scoobydan and others from the board.

Camping would be remote, with trips into town for supplies and gas as needed. We would probably camp in Broad Canyon, which is right near some of the cool wheeling spots.

Cruces wheeling is as good as AZ wheeling, if not better. The canyons are awesome and very technical, and they have some really cool waterfall trails. It’s as hard as you want it to be, or as easy as you want it to be. The weather this time of year will be awesome. Not much heat, actually kinda chilly.

This is a great opportunity to wheel in a great place. The drive is about 400 miles from Phoenix. It’s very flat and not hard on tow rigs at all. The camping will be a blast as there will probably be no one where we are camping, but it will be dry remote camping.

This trip is going to happen for Marv and I, and Marv’s bother Dwane, is going to meet us to wheel. The only thing that we need to determine is what dates are we going to do it on. These are the dates that I have available in March.

    Open dates: 3/2/05 thru 3/6/05

    3/9/05 thru 3/13/05

    3/23/05 thru 327/05

I have to be out of town on business the weekend of the 19th. So that date is no good for me.

Sooooooo, who is up for a trip to Cruces? Post up your thoughts. Let’s try to get a group together.

Here are some pictures from last year's Chile Challenge:

    3/9/05 thru 3/13/05

    3/23/05 thru 327/05

Either of those dates will work for me.

    well,
wrestling ends this Saturday so March is pretty open for me:

I am actually off of work (for spring break)
    March 12th - 27th.

I may have to drive my blazer up though...Unless my buddy Travis can tow me...

It will be a no go for me. I won't have the time or money to make a trip like that. You all have fun though.

    Ok,

I have received enough feedback, and have come to the conclusion that the dates will be the 23rd thru the 27th, Easter Weekend.

I got some PM and these are the dates that seem to work for everyone.

I will post up more details later today.

    Rob

I would love to go, but I've had to bail so many times lately, and been so slow in getting my truck running again, I hate to jinx it by saying anything yet...

    UPDATE!!!

At this point in time, I am not going to make this trip!

Over this past weekend someone broke into my camper and stripped it clean!

Took both 6 volt golf cart batteries, power inverter, propane tank, electrical connection hookups, brand new spare tire and wheel, all my camping chairs, fishing gear, deck cover tarps and all the parts for it. Basically they even tried to steal the trailer.

I guess someone likes my stuff better than me! Homeowners will not cover it, and I don't have the $$$ to replace the stuff yet.

So unless I hit the lottery this week, I'm out!

    Sorry guys.

    Rob

Maybe we can come up with something, I'll call you later tonight after work.

I know I have alot of the things you are missing, and you could use them in the meantime.

    That just sucks:mad:

Just guessing, but I'll bet it happened at the storage yard.
