I know that its probably a obvious question but i have one so if anyonw can answer let me know, does a b and m shifter only replace a manual truck or an automatic also, and what is the bennifts of having one, and also a MSD distributer better and why is it just because its for higher performance vehicals.? thanks for the patience with this question guys...

Yep. Sometimes for looks, sometimes to take care of shifting after a conversion and some hardcore guys find the mechanical stock linkage binds up under extreme chassis twist, those shifters are cable operated so get around this.

B&M does not make a shifter for the SM420/SM465s common in Chevy trucks.
