backfire out my carb!

    yesterday i was setting my timing..it was about 2" off the marker it should have been opn. So when i moved it back the engine boged down, so i adjusted the carb a little and now when i rev it, it back fires out of the carb. What do i need to look for.. somone elp me out, im sick of my truck running like crap. thanks

    your timing is off.if your cam is stock you can go off a timing light.if not do it by ear.if it was backfiring before you messed with it id go for a new timing chain and adjust the valves.get someone who has done it before to help.worst case your cam has worn lobes time for a upgrade.
