    backing up mp3\'s

well, for some reason my 120 gig said "disk not formatted, would you like to now" today!! i have 60 gigs of music on there and tons of games i havent even burned yet. what do you guys use to back up your stuff? im thinking of just making a dvd library of the music. like A_B , C-E, and so on, depending on how much i can fit.

i am getting 99% of my stuff back using a program called Get Data Back. i have used it oce before, and i trocks. if anyone wants it let me know.

so i was /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif, but now im leaning towards /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

if you have two drives, just make this one a slave and keep on using it, your data should still be accessable. If its your only drive and your buying another, just hook this one up as a slave. I've done it several times.

Just make sure a Virus didn't cause this.

i cant make it a slave, nothing will recognize it as a drive to do anything.

I use an external HDD and keep all my data on a slaved disc

I doubt both at once though

When I said a slaved, i mean the one in my comp, the main 40GB gets programs, the 60GB slaved to it gets data, and the 80GB external backs up

    Anyway, anything COULD happen

I can come to your house and steal you computer and shoot you in the foot too

I don;t like optical for backup, I've lost some stuff that way when the disc fell off of a thing onto another thing

I just burn everything once in a while. Try not to keep anything on my machine for too long. Too much of a pain when you lose it all.
