oh man that was insane, awesome video. i hope the people in the black truck were ok.
only 12 rounds?
should have been like that guy in florada 100+ rounds.
nice truck too.
Unbelievable..he better have gone away for a LOT longer than one freakin year this time. That girlfriend better be in jail for attempted murder of a cop, too. I have no mercy for people like this.
Wow... drove a chevy minivan into a pond, got run over by a chevy truck and crashed a chevy into the wall. Must be a furd fan at heart.
i hat douches like that...he should be locked up and the key should be thrown away
A douche hat leaves your mind clear and refreshed
at least he took out a dodge on his way into the wall.
I am pretty sure that was a late 90s furd f150. either way........good aim...
That cop had no regard for anyones safety. Rattling off .223(?) shots from a moving vehicle? Anyone notice the mail truck that crossed his path while he was shooting aimlessly?
yeah i did think it was dumb of the cop to be squeezing off shots so quickly with passing traffic
I think it should be a criminal offense to mess up a nice Chevy, especially if it's in the act of committing a crime. Sucks when I see someone undeserving with a nicer GM them me, and they go and total it.
How do you know he was shooting aimlessly? I myself couldn't see what he was doing in that video. Did you see a different version than I did?
I personally think it's too close to call. There are several different professional schools of thought on this........................
1. It's Texas. They can do stuff like that, therefore us OK cops all aspire to have chases cross the stateline.....................................
2. In this day and age, in most places, what he did was a big no no. I personally couldn't see myself trying to stop something like that while driving/operating the radio/trying to get a good aim all the while with the heart beating at faster than a tweaker's............................
3. If he's competent and allowed by policy and does everything right, then I have absolutely no problem with it.
Outside of that, there's no way to make a good call on that. All of that action in that sequence took maybe what, one second if that. Hard call to make, especially wielding an AR-15. I personally know cops that have been in chases that gave new meaning to the phrase "riding shotgun" although they were using a full-auto Mini-30 and most rounds impacted in the target, although no suspects were wounded by gunfire.
Me personally, I'd rather tear the hell out of my patrol car terminating the pursuit and finding a good, stable platform before going to guns. There's more control for me on that ground than attempting to shoot while driving.
Thats what I'm talking about!
Do you know how hard it is to hit even a stationary target from a moving vehicle? Let me tell you..........uhm never mind
That's why we should have computer operated turrets blasting out 7.62 on patrol cars. Let the computer do the work, have the ability to lock on to target and all the driver has to do is hit a button to make the thing work.
Ya' just gotta love Texas justice,,,using a truck to run down a criminal on foot,,,hell, why get out of the truck and chase him ?? when you can just pull up ,run him over and get out and arrest him !!!
There was a chase down here a few weeks back, the truck they were chasing lost a tire,,after the cops caught the guy, they went back,,,got the tire,,, put it up on e-bay as a "tire from a real police chase "and donated the proceeds to the 100 club.!!!
holy crap ... crazy things happen down there....
