drop by work on your day off!

I bought a couple of tools this morning and remembered that I left my coffee thermos at work, so I decided to drop off the new tools and pick up the thermos at work.
I pulled up to the dock area at the Hospital and waited for the security guy's to unlock the dock doors. Meanwile a bakery truck pulled up perpendicular to the dock, stopped and started to back up. Continued to back up, and never heard my horn blairing.

Then smack, right into my drivers door. :( The damn thing can even open now. :angry1:

The driver just started last week.

The truck was so new the insurance card wasn't even delived to the company yet.

I convienced the kid to follow me to the nearest police station to file a walk-in report.

    This sucks!

I'm not worried about the door being replaced. I am more worried that when the rocker panel is replaced there may be a chance of rust developing in the future. :( Right now this truck is in excellent shape.

That sucks. Make their insurance company to have everything redone right. By your choice of body shop.

Sorry bro, it's off my 98 k1500 stocker.

It did need a new handle and new door pins though

The kid was so nervous it looked like he just had 5 cups of espresso

That is rotten luck. I guess the upside is you were there when it happened. It really stinks to come out and find damage when the scoundrel has already left.

Yes, I hope too that it works out...

Last week I went in to work on my day off and ended up getting 2 hours of overtime and free dinner... Sometimes it works in your favor :D
