Bad Yoke??

    i blew a cap off my u-joint last night i think it is because my yoke does not have the keepers on either side of the yoke. Its on a 10 bolt. Am i right??

    if its 3r series the diff yoke is smooth- i beleive it was 77 up- and if its 1310 then your in trouble there's supposed to be retianers- Got a pic? Jesse

    no i dont have a pic but if it helps its an 83 k5. if i need a new yoke can i use a 12 bolt yoke if i get the 12 bolt u-joint and ues those caps on the other u-joint in the driveline??

    no, a 12bolt won't fit but a 14 bolt will. those staps you're missing aren't expensive.
