Okay, fess up, who here's got the baddest 1st gen K5 and pictures? I've never seen one in real life that was all built up! That one that was in Fourwheeler recently was sweet! I love the 67-72 trucks, and hope one day I can have a 3/4 ton version, 4wd or a 1st gen K5.

Yep, Burt does have a badass K5. When I start working on mine, I hope to steal, or um borrow some of your ideas. I really like your cage.

Mine's not as bad as Burt's is in the suspension department. It's got reasonable underhood motivation, a good cooling system, a slick transmission, and disc brakes all around, though.

Not only do I use vice grips for a window crank but my gas cap doubles as a rag. Let see you pull that off, hehe.

By baddest I meant the nicest looking, most heavy duty, biggest 1st gen.

So far all the pics of the ones I have checked out I would call both "sweet" and "tight".

I am not one to brag but my 72 K5 kick's ass 15'' springs 3'' body with 44'' swampers and still using my stock front driveline.Think about that one. Dana 60 rear with disc brakes .Dana 44 front with crossover steering. Give me about 2 weeks to get pic out. This sunday mourning it will finally be painted Guard Red (Porsche Red) and time to put back together. 1 FN HI K5
