Very nice! That is similar to the idea I've been playing around with for my K30. This was the whole reason I was asking around about frame dimensions on the K30 a few days ago. Debating on using Blazer body (bobbed in the back) or save weight with a tube "rock buggy" body.

Only real difference is that I was thinking of ditching the (inner/outer) fenders and using tube to tie a cut down core support to the fire wall. In my vision, the only thing left of the cab would be the floor (tied into the remains of the bed floor after cutting down to size) and the firewall/dash/windshield. I want to keep the core support (radiator, headlamps, etc.) and firewall (dash stuff, brakes, steering, windshield, etc.) to save on fab time and headaches. Then, move the front axle forward on the springs a couple of inches combined with cutting the frame as short as possible in the front to improve approach angles (no worry about core support or inner/outer fenders!). In the back, same thing except go to the short springs (not the long 1 tons but short 1/2 tons with a flip) to bob the rear even shorter (like yours!). Maybe later (as time allows) fabing custom pieces to eliminate the core support and fire wall for a full custom rig built on a K30 frame.

Anyway, please, please, please keep us updated with pictures and info about what you are doing. Let us know how it goes, good luck!

I wheeled with a guy named Larry over EJS, he had a K30 or something, anyway he got rid of the bed (now flatbed) and inner/outer fenders and hood, cut down the core support and fabbed a new hood thing out of diamond plate, I have pics of it, I will post them when I get a chance. The cab was the only thing left from the truck, damn thing went everywhere.

After thinking about it, I've seen that truck. I've got one picture of it with the front, left wheel up on a rock. Very close to what I had in mind but without the doors or roof and cut down shorter. That, the "RogerBuilt", Rhino, and others were contributing to my thoughts. If you have other pictures, they would be appreciated.
